1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Boise Lumber, located at 2755 S Beverly St, Boise, ID 83709 ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our website at boiselumber.org, visiting our facility, or purchasing our products and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must discontinue use of our website and services immediately.

2. Products & Inventory

Boise Lumber sells reclaimed lumber, new lumber, recycled wood products, and related hardware and accessories. Please be aware of the following:

Product Disclaimers

  • Natural Material Variation: Wood is a natural product. Color, grain pattern, texture, and density vary between boards, even within the same species and grade. These variations are inherent characteristics, not defects.
  • Reclaimed Lumber Character: Reclaimed lumber may contain nail holes, surface checking, patina, mineral staining, and other character marks consistent with its age and history. These features are considered desirable and are part of the product.
  • Dimensional Tolerances: Lumber dimensions may vary by up to 1/8" from stated sizes due to milling tolerances, moisture content changes, and industry-standard sizing conventions (e.g., a 2x4 measures 1.5" x 3.5").
  • Availability: Inventory — especially reclaimed stock — is subject to change without notice. Species, dimensions, and quantities listed on our website or quoted verbally are not guaranteed until an order is confirmed and paid for.
  • Photographs: Product images on our website are representative. The specific boards you receive may differ in appearance from photographs due to natural variation and monitor color calibration.

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices are quoted in US dollars and are subject to change without prior notice. Prices quoted for custom orders are valid for 30 days from the date of the quote unless otherwise stated.

  • We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards for in-person purchases.
  • Custom orders and large orders may require a deposit of up to 50% at the time of order.
  • Deposits are non-refundable once material processing has begun.
  • Sales tax is applied in accordance with Idaho state and local tax requirements.
  • Returned checks are subject to a $35 processing fee.

4. Orders, Returns & Refunds

We want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Please review the following policies regarding orders, returns, and refunds:

  • All lumber sales are final once the material has been cut, milled, or processed to custom specifications.
  • Stock lumber in original condition may be returned within 7 days of purchase with a valid receipt for a full refund or exchange.
  • Returned lumber must be in resalable condition — free of cuts, stains, fastener holes, or moisture damage not present at the time of sale.
  • Delivery fees are non-refundable once the delivery has been completed.
  • We reserve the right to assess a 15% restocking fee on returns of large or specialty orders.
  • Claims for damaged or incorrect material must be reported within 48 hours of delivery or pickup.

5. Warranties & Disclaimers

All products are sold "as is" unless a specific written warranty is provided at the time of sale. To the fullest extent permitted by law:

BOISE LUMBER DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OUR PRODUCTS WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OR THAT THEY ARE SUITABLE FOR ANY PARTICULAR APPLICATION OR END USE.

It is the buyer's responsibility to verify that the lumber selected is appropriate for the intended application, meets all applicable building codes, and complies with local, state, and federal regulations. Boise Lumber is not responsible for improper use, installation, or application of any products sold.

For kiln-dried lumber, we certify that the material has been heat-treated to the temperature and duration specified at the time of service. We do not guarantee specific moisture content percentages after the lumber leaves our facility, as environmental conditions will affect moisture levels.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Boise Lumber and its owners, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to:

  • Your purchase, use, or inability to use our products or services
  • Any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in product descriptions or pricing
  • Structural failure, property damage, or personal injury resulting from the use of lumber purchased from us
  • Delays in delivery or processing of orders
  • Any unauthorized access to or alteration of your personal information

In no event shall our total liability exceed the amount you paid for the specific product or service giving rise to the claim.
